Methodology
- Source: real instant offers in our price index — offers generated for sellers through junkurcar.com and partner buyers, March 5, 2022–October 23, 2026. Amounts are what sellers were offered, not what any vehicle sold for.
- JunkUrCar is not the purchaser. Offers come from partner buyers; JunkUrCar may be compensated when a sale completes.
- Medians and the middle half (25th–75th percentiles) are computed from all qualifying offers in each group and rounded to the nearest $25.
- Thresholds: national headline n≥100; states, makes and age buckets n≥20; quarters n≥100. Ranges are shown only when n≥10 and the high end is no more than 4× the median.
- Exclusions: $0 offers are excluded as outliers; vehicle age is omitted when the model year is missing or implausible. Offer-level condition is not recorded in this dataset, so no condition breakdown is published.
- Figures are historical context, not an offer for your car. Offers vary by vehicle, condition and location. Offers are not guaranteed. No individual offers or seller details are published.
